Hi, I’m Bruce Michelotti

I have been interested in photography for most of my life. Having grown up in the age of film I have a good understanding of not only the art of photography, but also the science behind it having used the wet darkroom to develop and print my images. Now in the digital age that task is handled by digital imaging programs with the same goal in mind—great images that resonate with the viewer.

My photo pursuits lean toward the natural world around us, the beauty of nature, birds, animals, flowers, as well as, unique and interesting objects and structures. My photographic views tend to be more classical giving the viewer context and detail showing the subtleties of color and texture bringing them up close and personal to my subjects.

While mostly self-taught I have taken numerous classes and seminars on many photographic topics to further my education and continue to do so to remain current in my craft. Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop are some of the tools I use to develop and prepare my images for presentation.

As an active member of the Oakland Camera Club I currently serve as the Director of Digital Photography for projected images, as well as, the Records Director. I am also a member of the Photographic Society of America where I am an administrator for a Digital Dialog Study group.

I currently reside in Rochester Hills, Michigan and spend much of my free time there, as well as, in Florida looking for photo opportunities. Take a look at my portfolio and let me know what you think using the contact button above.
